Christopher Dean wife: Did Torvill and Dean date? Skater admits ‘a little dabble once’

Christopher Dean and Jayne Torvill sit on the judging panel for ITV’s Dancing on Ice, critiquing celebrity skaters. The duo is also known for their own skating prowess, winning gold at the 1984 Winter Olympics.

Dancing on Ice is back on screens tonight for movie week, and the remaining five couples will compete to get through to next week’s show.

Presented by Holly Willoughby and Phillip Scofield tonight movie magic will light up the ice.

The iconic film soundtracks the skating duos have chosen are detailed below

Libby Clegg and professional partner Mark Hanretty will be back and skating to ‘The Bare Necessities’ from The Jungle Book this week.

Presenter Joe Swash and pro skater Alex Murphy will be skating to James Bond theme ‘Live and Let Die.

Diversity dancer Perri Kiely and skating partner Vanessa Bauer are performing to ‘Hedwig’s Theme’ from Harry Potter.

Coronation Street star Lisa George and Tom Naylor will skate to ‘Have You Met Miss Jones’ from Bridget Jones’ Diary.

Finally, magician Ben Hanlin and Carlotta Edwards will be hoping to impress the judges with a performance to ’My Heart Will Go On’ from Titanic.

Dean is in a relationship with fellow skater and former Dancing on Ice head judge Karen Barber.

In 2011, Torvill had said the pair had ruled out a romantic relationship in order to protect their skating partnership.

She told the Daily Mail: “We decided very early on that if we had slept together we couldn’t have skated.

“I remember somebody saying to me, ‘If you’re dating your skating partner and the relationship breaks down, you won’t have your skating partner.’”

Dancing on Ice is on ITV1 at 6pm
