Sky TV customers can finally watch BT Sport at a more reasonable price

Sky TV customers who also want to tune into some BT Sport action can now get these extra channels at a cheaper price. The satellite TV firm has just announced a new range of plans which feature Sky Sports and BT Sports for one monthly price.

Until now it was only possible to get BT Sport via an additional – and rather expensive – subscription plan.

That’s all changed with three options becoming available to Sky users.

The first includes Sky Sports and BT Sport for £35 which saves fans a total of 35 percent off the previous option.

You can also get a package which features Sky Sports and BT Sport, plus Sky Entertainment for £47 a month which saves a whopping 40 percent off previous pricing.

Finally, there’s the option to simply bolt on BT Sport to what you already have at a cost of £25 per month.

With BT Sport added it means fans will get access to almost every event including the Premier League, Emirates FA Cup and UEFA Champions League games.

There’s also all of the cricket, rugby, F1 and MotoGP via these two platforms.

The new packages launch just in time for Leicester City vs. Manchester City on Sky Sports on Saturday and the head-to-head between Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur on BT Sport.

Speaking about the update Lyssa McGowan, Chief Consumer Officer, Sky said: “Our customers have always loved sport and we’re delighted to now be able to offer them even more. From the excitement of the UEFA Champions League, Tiger Woods defending The Masters and the rise of Fallon Sherrock, 2020 is a huge year of sport. Now, through our partnership with BT and the launch of our new sports packages, millions of fans can watch all the sports they love.”

And Jim White, Sky Sports presenter, added: ‘It might not be January 31st but what a great signing for Sky Sports customers! More sport, whenever you want it, all in one place.’

The update from Sky comes as BT has also just revealed something completely new.

BT says its latest upgrade to its TV service will offer users the freedom to choose the shows, films and sport they want, when they want – with the flexibility to upgrade or downgrade their package every month.

The bundles, which start from £10 per month, include a swathe of content and you can even get instant access to Sky Sports, Entertainment and Cinema.

Speaking about the update Marc Allera, CEO of BT’s Consumer division said: “Life doesn’t stand still from month to month, so we don’t believe our customer’s TV should either.

“Our new range of TV packs bring together the best premium services, fully loaded with a wide range of award-winning shows, the best live sports in stunning 4K and the latest must-see films – all with the flexibility to change packs every month – with quick and easy search to find what you want to watch.

“So now with a click of a button you can take out the Big Sport package to catch the top Premier League fixtures one month and swap it for VIP for a rainy school holiday with the family the next.”
