Amanda Seales is the newest addition to The Real talk show on Fox. The hosts have been celebrating their 1000th episode since earlier this week.
Loni Love, Adrienne Bailon, Tamera Mowry, Jeannie Mai, and Amanda Seales all gathered to interview with Extra.
Amanda brings a wealth of knowledge and perspective along with comedy to the circle of culturally diverse ladies. During multiple episodes, Amanda and Jeannie debated passionately about subjects they disagree on.
Jennifer Lahmers from Extra TV first went wrong when she called Seales a ‘newbie’ to the cast. That’s because before joining the ladies officially, she was on and off multiple episodes in a guest spot so it doesn’t feel like she’s new at all.
Lahmers’ second strike was when she said that the Insecure star and Jeannie ‘butt heads.’
That’s when Amanda told Jennifer to ‘stop’ then proceeded to school her on the way things work there.
‘You know what? We’re not butting heads. I think it’s very, very important especially at a table with diverse women to very clearly delineate the difference between having a difference in opinion than butting heads. You’ll know when I’m butting heads because when I butt heads, it’s only going to be one head standing.’
She then hugged Mai who was standing in agreement: ‘As you can see, there’s still two.’
Viewers who noticed the moment were living for it.
As the Shade Room reposted the clip, one person chimed in to say: ‘People always confuse “angry black woman “ with “strongly opinionated black woman”’
Another added: ‘I love how she professionally checked her.’
A third said: ‘I mean I’m not really Amanda fan but at least she told her because she was lowkey being shady out the random for no reason.’
This person chimed in with: ‘I actually think her and Jeannie are closer since they do have different perspectives. They always lean into each other.’
