Michelle Obama posts rare adorable photo on Twitter for special day close to her heart

The former First Lady and wife of Barack Obama posted a rare photo on her Twitter account of two creatures very close to her heart. The photo was in commemoration of US National Love Your Pet Day which takes place on February 20.

The day is supposed to show love and commemorate people’s pets.

Most people spent the day spoiling their pets and posting pictures on social media.

And Michelle was no exception as she posted a picture of her two prized dogs, Bo and Sunny.

Sunny is a female Portuguese Water dog, who has been called the younger sister of Bo.

“We miss you and your family! Beautiful dog.”

Another said: “The Obamas clearly show that all lives matter.

“Enough love they have shown to mankind…same they have always extended to pets.”

Former US President Barack and his family were given the dog as a gift after months of speculation about the breed.

The final choice was made in part because of Michelle’s daughter Malia’s allergies.

Malia needed a hypoallergenic breed to avoid her allergies flaring up.

Bo has been called the “First Dog” in the past.

In August 2013, Bo was joined by Sunny.
