Lisa George’s Dancing on Ice partner speaks out after her ‘painful’ injury sparks concerns

Dancing on Ice 2020 contestant Lisa George, 47, was forced to pull out of training after falling over in rehearsals earlier this week. Today, her skating partner Tom Naylor, who is also a doctor, told fans the pair are still yet to get back on the ice.

Taking to his Instagram page today, Tom told his fans: “Morning everyone, just a quick update for those who saw Lisa’s status the other day.

“She has picked up a knee injury, we haven’t skated since early Tuesday morning.

“I hope she’s been resting, but hopefully I see her down at the studio today and we’ll get to teach her the routine she hasn’t done yet.

“There’s a lot of work to be done. Hopefully we get her through to the live show on Sunday.

“So yeah, I’ve got to sit here for 20 minutes with it on.”

Lisa told her social media followers she had a torn meniscus.

The meniscus is a disc-like piece of cartilage in the knee which acts as a shock absorber between your shinbone and thighbone.

Lisa went on to thank her physio in her post and signed off: “Hopefully it should be ok so I can finally train on Thursday and learn my new routine for the show this weekend #teamlisa #dancingonice.”
