Venom 2 LEAKED video: Is this the moment Cletus Kasady transforms into Carnage?

Venom 2 will star Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock/Venom and Woody Harrelson as Cletus Kasady/Carnage and will follow on from the first film, which was released in 2018. Filming is well underway, with Andy Serkis being brought on board to replace Venom director Ruben Fleischer in August and shooting commencing in November last year. Now, a leaked on-set video looks to show the first look at Kasady changing into Carnage.

The video was shared on Instagram by an account called Venomiscoming, which has over 8,000 followers, and shows Harrelson in character as Kasady being held up at gunpoint by a cop.

Just before the police officer opens fire, Harrelson waves his arms and performs some liquid-like hands movements, appearing to be going through the motions of morphing into his Symbiote form.

As he remains standing and alive despite taking multiple bullets, it would appear Kasady is using the Symbiote to absorb the shots.

Presumably, the Carnage effects will be added in later in the production process.

Harrelson is wearing the same costume in the video as he was sporting in a first-look pic shared by his co-star Hardy this week.

Hardy teased glimpse of Harrelson as Kasady in Venom 2, sporting a different look from his wild appearance in Venom.

The tangled wig of red hair was gone in favour of a slicked back style and he was scrubbed up in a colourful Hawaiian shirt and a blazer.

The star uploaded the on-set photo to Instagram, writing: “Hello Cletus.”

Could the decision to make the first appear victorious and the latter look defeated allude to Venom’s downfall in the upcoming sequel? Could he lose to Carnage?

Carnage’s introduction was only teased at the very end of the first movie in a post-credits scene.

It showed Brock going to San Quentin prison to interview an inmate, Kasady, AKA Carnage.

Not yet having taken on the moniker, Kasady told Brock: “When I get out of here, there’s going to be carnage.”

The first Venom focused on journalist Brock’s mission to take down Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed), the CEO of Life Foundation which was conducting experiments of human trials.

On the way, Brock found himself accidentally merged with a symbiotic alien, Venom.

The first film took over $856 million at the box office.

Venom 2 is set for release on October 2.
