Ozzy Osbourne tour 2020 CANCELLED: Star pulls out of North American gigs amid Parkinson's

Ozzy Osbourne, 71, told fans he didn’t want to embark on the North American leg of his No More Tours tour and then later have to cancel shows at the last minute due to health woes. The rockstar, who is living with Parkinson’s disease and suffered a fall at his home last month while recovering from pneumonia and aggravated an old back injury, causing him to need surgery on his neck, thanked fans for their patience in a statement.

“I’m so thankful that everyone has been patient because I’ve had a s**t year,” he admitted. “Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get to Switzerland for treatment until April and the treatment takes six-eight weeks.

“I don’t want to start a tour and then cancel shows at the last minute, as it’s just not fair to the fans,” Osbourne continued.

“I’d rather they get a refund now and when I do the North American tour down the road, everyone who bought a ticket for these shows will be the first ones in line to purchase tickets at that time.”

Fans who purchased tickets for the cancelled tour dates can get refunds at the original point of purchase.

“We’re going to go wherever we can go to seek answers,” she said.

In the weeks since, Osbourne told the Los Angeles Times he was first diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2003.

“I’m not dying from Parkinson’s,” he said. “I’ve been working with it most of my life. I’ve cheated death so many times.

“If tomorrow you read, ‘Ozzy Osbourne never woke up this morning,’ you wouldn’t go, ‘Oh, my God!’ You’d go, ‘Well, it finally caught up with him,’” he added.

The rockstar revealed he takes medication to help with the tremors caused by Parkinson’s.
