Kellye Nakahara dead: M*A*S*H star dies aged 72 after short battle with cancer

Kellye, who was born on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, originally moved to San Francisco as a young adult to pursue a career in art.

Alongside acting, she worked as a watercolour artist who presented her work under her married name, Kellye Wallett.

M*A*S*H, which stood for Mobile Army Surgical Hospital, became one of the most successful sitcoms ever written.

In the series finale, entitled ‘Goodbye, Farewell and Amen’, television sets were placed in car parks, offices and public spaces while it was shown simultaneously around the world to troops stationed abroad.
