Timo Werner transfer

Liverpool haven’t made an approach for Timo Werner.

That’s according to RB Leipzig CEO Oliver Mintzlaff, who has played down the suggestion that Jurgen Klopp’s side will trigger the forward’s £50million exit-clause in April.

“We hear these reports all the time,” Mintzlaff told Transfermarkt.

“Someone makes something up, and everyone else copies it. Werner is happy here and wants to play the rest of the season.”

Philippe Coutinho interest

Philippe Coutinho would be a welcome addition to Frank Lampard’s Chelsea side, former Liverpool ace Jason McAteer believes.

Coutinho, 27, is currently on loan with Bayern Munich, who could make the transfer permanent for £77million at the end of the campaign.

But McAteer believes believes he’d fit in perfectly into the Blues starting XI.

He told Racing Post: “I could see him slotting in perfectly at Chelsea, where Frank Lampard is doing unbelievable things trying to reboot that club using a lot of young talent bedding in alongside some experienced stars.

“Coutinho would feel really comfortable in the number 10 role at Stamford Bridge with the protection of N’Golo Kante and Jorginho and an array of young frontmen around him who would thrive working off him.”

Jadon Sancho talks

Chelsea chief Marina Granovskaia is already working on a transfer deal to bring Jadon Sancho to Stamford Bridge.

The winger, who is valued at £100million, is amongst those being considered by the club this summer as they look to flex their muscle in the transfer market once again.

Borussia Dortmund are also believed to be willing to listen to offers, accepting that the time may have come to let Sancho move on.

According to France Football, Granovskaia began putting the foundations in place for a lucrative swoop for Sancho as soon as the club closed a deal for Hakim Ziyech.

Lyon duo

Manchester United are monitoring Lyon duo Moussa Dembele and Houssem Aouar.

That’s according to the Daily Mail, who claim executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward is planning heavy investment this summer.

The Red Devils are eager to bolster their attacking options and have identified the French pair as potential targets.

Dembele, 23, is valued at a staggering £84million while 21-year-old Aouar could be signed for £52m.
