On Friday, the Secret Window actor, Johnny Depp, filed a motion in the Manhattan Supreme Court to squash the subpoena filed by Amber Heard, which intended to get the Weinstein Company to uncover all of their documents related to Harvey Weinstein and Johnny Depp.
Page Six reported that Heard’s subpoena was hoping to seek discovery relating to Johnny Depp’s $50 million lawsuit against his former wife. Depp’s petition to the Manhattan Supreme Court states that the subpoena is unrelated to the Virginia defamation lawsuit he brought against her.
Amber Heard’s subpoena seeks to uncover many documents, including all of those communications between Harvey Weinstein and Johnny Depp across their career working together.
Reportedly, the lawsuit hopes to uncover documents related to the supposed act of violence on Johnny’s part during the production of the 2004 movie, The Libertine, starring Depp and produced by The Weinstein Company.
As it was previously reported, Johnny Depp filed a defamation lawsuit against his ex-wife after she wrote an opinion piece in the Washington Piece accusing him of abusing her, and positioning herself as a survivor of domestic violence.
Even though Johnny Depp was never named in the op-ed for the Washington Post, Depp suggested it was strongly assumed to be him who abused her in the piece. Followers of the dispute between Johnny Depp and Amber Heard know that shocking developments have recently been unveiled.
Reportedly, an audio recording featuring Amber Heard admitting to hitting him on a number of occasions was revealed. Additionally, the audio recording features the actress suggesting that Johnny was over-reacting.
In the clip, the actor can be heard stating that if the abuse continued in the same way, he would have to call off their marriage, even though he didn’t really want to.

Moreover, Amber Heard reportedly says in the clip that she just gets so mad sometimes, and can’t help herself but to become violent with him. Furthermore, in the clip, she states that she can’t promise to not hit the actor again and again.
