Bam Adebayo wins Skills Challenge on NBA All Star Saturday after beating Domantas Sabonis

The NBA All Star Saturday night festivities started off with a bang with Bam Adebayo pulling off an upset in a surprising final two after defeating Domantas Sabonis.

The first round threw up a number of shocks, particularly reigning champion Jayson Tatum losing to Domantas Sabonis.

The 2018 champion Spencer Dinwiddie also went out early with first time All Star Bam Adebayo pulling off an upset.

Khris Middleton and Pascal Siakam also progressed to the second round but they both couldn’t get past Sabonis and Adebayo to set up an unlikely final round.

The two got off to the perfect start rushing through the slaloms before landing the pass at the first time of trying.

It was neck and neck as they approached the three-point shot with both missing a couple attempts with their shots crossing paths.

But Adebayo eventually got one to connect as he reeled off in celebration.

Joe Harris will be aiming to defend his crown from 2019 with the likes of Duncan Robinson, Davis Bertans and Trae Young also competing.

The Saturday night event continues though with the three-point contest taking part immediately after.
