Susan Boyle: BGT legend’s modest house where she's lived all her life finally REVEALED

Susan Boyle, 58, opened up the doors to her Scottish home for a photoshoot with OK! magazine this week.

The singer invited photographers into the West Lothian house she has lived in all her life, a decade since finding fame on Britain’s Got Talent.

The reality TV star wowed judges Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Piers Morgan when she walked out on the stage in 2009 and belted out I Dreamed A Dream from Les Miserables and the rest is history.

Her audition has been viewed more than 240 million times and the successful star is now working on her ninth studio album.

Despite her worldwide success, Susan still lives in the modest home she grew up in as she said it has helped her remain grounded.

The singer told the publication: “It was my mum and dad’s house so I’ve actually lived here for 58 years – all my life.

“Coming back here to the same street and house keeps me grounded.”

Asked if she would ever consider living in a “flashier neighbourhood”, the singer replied: “No because I like my roots,” adding that people look out for each other and it makes her feel “safe.”

Inviting cameras into her home, she showed off her warm and inviting living room and newly-renovated modern kitchen.

She said her favourite room in the house was her bathroom – which has also been renovated recently – where she often goes to read a book and “get some peace”.

In Susan’s dining room sits one of her most extravagant purchases – a piano.

Awards and religious figurines take pride of place on top of the upright piece.

Reflecting on the past 11 years, Susan, who was diagnosed with Asperger’s in 2012, revealed she has learnt to live in the moment more and love every second of her life.

She also said she couldn’t wait to go back on tour in March.
