FIFA 20 WINTER UPGRADES – UPDATE ONE: EA Sports has today confirmed the FIFA 20 Ratings Refresh release date and start time.

The FIFA 20 Ratings Refresh will launch on Friday February 14 at 6pm UK time.

The EA Sports Twitter account teased the upcoming launch of FIFA 20 Winter Upgrades in a post today.

They tweeted: “Tomorrow #WinterRefresh”.

In a post online EA also outlined the top 50 upgrades coming in the FIFA 20 Ratings Refresh.

Players such as Manchester United’s Daniel James, Aston Villa’s Jack Grealish and Borussia Dortmund wonderkid Erling Braut Haaland will all be getting FUT upgrades.

ORIGINAL: FIFA 20 Winter Upgrades is coming soon, with the big Ratings Refresh hitting FUT Ultimate Team on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PCs.

The FIFA 20 Winter Upgrades is one of the big FUT Ultimate Team events following the January transfer window.

The FIFA 20 Winter Upgrades gives FUT Ultimate Team players a Ratings Refresh following the midway point of the season in leagues around the world.

EA has not confirmed when the FIFA 20 Winter Upgrades release date and start date will be, but we have a good idea of when the Ratings Refresh will land.

Last year the FIFA Winter Upgrades was launched on Friday February 15.

If EA follows a similar schedule then the Ratings Refresh for FIFA 20 should launch on Friday February 14.

In terms of a start time major FIFA 20 updates tend to land at 6pm UK time, so that’s when it is likely to take place.

Q: How do Ratings Refresh upgrades work?

A: Upgrades apply to new basic (not in-form) player items found in packs. Non-IF players in your Club will not receive an upgrade.

Q: If a Ratings Refresh upgraded play has an In-Form, how is it affected?

A: If an upgraded player’s new OVR rating does not equal or surpass his existing in-form’s rating, his IFs will not get an upgrade. If an upgraded player’s new OVR rating equals or surpasses his existing first in-form’s rating, his IFs will get an upgrade:

An exception is made for lower-rated player items with significant upgrades.

This does not apply to Ultimate Scream items.

Q: Will the UCL base items be upgraded?

A: UCL base items for the upgraded player’s will be upgraded following the IF rule.
