WATCH: Plane passenger filmed submitting woman to shock ‘assault’ – how would you react?

Flights see a great number of people confined into close quarters. Consequently, the behaviour of those around can greatly impact one’s wellbeing. One woman travelling with USA airline American Airlines found herself suffering a rather unpleasant flight due to the actions of a nearby passenger.

As he watches his content, he repeatedly presses his fist with force into the headrest of wendi’s seat.

On occasion, he looks up before continuing with his punches.

Wendi, who appears to be filming the footage herself from her seat, can be seen eyeing up the camera with frustration as her head is jerked backwards and forwards.

The Twitter user claimed that when she complained to an American Airlines cabin crew member, she was offered no assistance.

DON’T MISS

Wendi tweeted: “After much consideration, and exhausting every opportunity for #AmericanAirlines to do the right thing, I’ve decided to share my assault, from the passenger behind me, and the further threats, from an American Airline flight attendant. She offered him a complimentary cocktail!”

She later added: “I was contacted via phone by @AmericanAir, they apologized but really didn’t accept any responsibility for the flight attendant’s actions.

“I will be calling the FBI to press charges against the “man” who mistook me for a punching bag. Anyone who doesn’t like it, I don’t care!”

Numerous Twitter users flocked to the post to share their opinions on the man’s deeds.

“What is wrong with people? When he wouldn’t stop, did you at least lean your seat back as far as it would go?” one person commented.

Another wrote: “I would have stood up and said hey pal; I paid for this seat, the whole seat so keep your hands to yourself.”

However, others chose to criticise wendi for reclining her seat in the first place.

“He was wrong, but people who recline their seats and have to be asked to put them up so a person in back of them can eat should simply fly first class. Mind boggling that you would continue to recline your seat (sic),” one person tweeted.

Another added: “No offense but this gentleman, although he’s an idiot, his seat does not recline. So it is unfair for the person in front to recline their seat. He should have politely asked you to not recline your seat. This is an industry airline problem that needs fixing (sic).”

American Airlines said they were “aware” of the “dispute” between two passengers.

An airline spokesperson told Express.co.uk: “We are aware of a customer dispute that transpired on American Eagle flight 4392, operated by Republic Airways on January 31.

“The safety and comfort of our customers and team members is our top priority, and our team is looking into the issue.”
