The US President attempted to downplay the high turn out among Democratic voters, by pointing out that the “big Democrat story” was really all about him. Trump posted: “The Fake News Media is looking hard for the Big Democrat Story, but there is nothing too fabulous. Wouldn’t a big story be that I got more New Hampshire Primary Votes than any incumbent president, in either party, in the history of that Great State? Not an insignificant fact!”
Earlier, Democratic supporters in New Hampshire turned out to cast their vote on which Democratic candidate should face Trump in November’s Presidential election.
After a low turn out in Iowa, Democratic strategists were worried about the declining energy among the party’s grassroots.
However, turnout in New Hampshire was on track to match or exceed that of 2008, when nearly 288,000 people participated in the Democratic primary.
Trump’s post provoked an angry response from his critics, who took to Twitter to air their grievances.
One wrote: “You didn’t run against anyone, you used your influence to successfully shut out any challengers because you are a pussy.
“Your story isn’t interesting. No one cares about it. At all.”
Another posted: “”Wow, I won what many people are saying was basically a One-Person Race!
“So much (Alternative) Winning! Why isn’t anyone paying attention to me?! PAY ATTENTION TO ME ME ME ME!!!”

JT Lewis posted: “President Trump is on track to win one of the largest landslide victories in history in 2020.
“We are blessed to have such a great President!”
Bernie Sanders appears to have secured a narrow victory over Pete Buttigieg in New Hampshire.
With 85 percent of precincts reporting, Mr Sanders currently leads Mr Buttigieg by 1.4 points, capturing 25.8 percent of the vote.
The victory will solidify his status as the frontrunner for the Democratic nomination, after his performance at the Iowa primary.
Joe Biden, the original favourite to win the Democratic nomination, endured another disappointing night, failing to break into double digits, according to latest results.
