Who is in the cast of Sonic the Hedgehog?

Ben Schwartz, known for his role in Parks and Recreation, is the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog, which is a computer animated character.

Jim Carrey plays Dr Robotnik, the mad scientist who wants to conquer the world using Sonic for his speed-powers.

Hairspray star James Marsen plays Tom Wachowski, a sheriff who wants to aid Sonic in his quest to stop Robotnik, and Tika Sumpter plays Maddie, Tom’s wife.

Lee Majdoub is Stone, a government agent who works for Robotnik, while Adam Pally is a fellow police officer with Tom, and Neal McDonough is Major Bennington.

In addition, Garry Chalk, who appears in various Sonic the Hedgehog series, is also in the film in an undisclosed role.

Slant magazine has received one and a half stars out of four stars, with emphasis given specifically to Carrey’s performance.

Jake Cole of the magazine said: “As the actor is wont to do, he lunges at each line like a starving animal, pulling rubber faces and jutting his limbs in angular motions as he says every other word with an exaggerated pronunciation.

“In depicting a mad scientist, Carrey over-exaggerates the madness at the expense of the rare moments in which Robotnik conveys a more compelling kind of super-genius sociopathy, a tech-libertarian’s disregard for anything outside his own advancement.”
