Narcos: Mexico picks up again with the Godfather of the first Mexican drug cartel, Miguel Ángel ​Félix Gallardo (played by Diego Luna) as he struggles to maintain control of his empire. Ahead of the new series, Express.co.uk has rounded up everything fans need to know about when it will come out and what will happen.

What time does Narcos Mexico come out?

Narcos: Mexico will be released on Netflix on February 13 in full with 10 brand-new episodes.

Viewers have been waiting since November 2018 for new episodes of the historical thriller.

Now the wait is almost over as the all-new series will be released in full on the platform at 8am GMT.

This is because Netflix original series are always uploaded at midnight California time as this is where their headquarters are.

He will be dealing with corruption and rival cartels while all the while becoming a target of the DEA.

The show will unfold while Breslin and his team of DEA agents begin their work on Operation Leyenda to try and take him down.

This will all take place over 10 new episodes of the drama when it is all released at once.

Alongside Luna and McNairy, other returning characters include José María Yazpik as Amado Carrillo Fuentes, Gerardo Taracena as Pablo Acosta and Alejandro Edda as Joaquín “El Chapo” Guzmán.

Speaking about the upcoming series, star Luna recently spoke to Variety.

He said: “We’re going to explore the fall of Félix Gallardo.

“He gets rid of his family and his friends in the first season and does many mistakes that now he is going to have to deal with, that.

“It is an interesting time because the story is getting really close to what we’re living today.

“I like that the series talks about the complexity of a situation that is not about one character.

“It’s not about the good and the bad. It’s about all the grays in between.”

Narcos: Mexico launches on Netflix on February 13.
