Iceland issues urgent food recall over serious allergy fears – do you have affected items?

The British supermarket chain, Iceland, has issued an urgent recall on products stocked in their stores due to allergy fears. Those who have been shopping in-store or online, who may be allergic, are being urged to check their fridge and freezers for the affected item.

A statement on the FSA website reads: “If you have bought the listed product [Iceland Takeaway No 26 Chinese Banquet] and have an allergy or intolerance to milk or milk constituents do not eat them.

“Instead return it to the store from where it was bought for a full refund.”

The products affected by the recall are listed below:

Iceland is recalling the above products from customers and has been advised to contact the relevant allergy support organisations, which will tell their members about the recall.

The company has also issued a point-of-sale notice to its customers.

These notices explain to customers why the products are being recalled and tell them what to do if they have bought the products.

Those who have bought the product are being urged not to eat the food to avoid risk.

Instead, they can return it to the store it was bought where they will be given a full refund for the item.

No other Iceland products are known to be affected.
