Adele has alluded to her new lifestyle on Instagram, although she has yet to talk about her weight loss publicly.

However, she wrote an Instagram caption in October that read: “I used to cry but now I sweat.”

She is thought to have followed the Sirtfood Diet, which dieters claim can help with fast weight loss while also preserving muscle.

The diet involves two phases, the first of which lasts a week and sees dieters eat 1,000 calories a day and drinking a juice made from kale, celery, rocket, parsley, green tea and lemon.

Phase two lasts a fortnight and is a maintenance phase. Dieters still drink the juice, and eat recommended foods such as dark chocolate, apples, citrus, capers and red wine.
