Scarlett Johansson stunned at the 2020 Oscars where she was nominated for two awards. It was her first time being nominated and she amazed fans by being nominated for both best actress and best-supporting actress. Though she didn’t take home the statue, she did win praise for another Oscar. Scarlett Johansson wore Oscar de la Renta and it was learned that it took over 300 hours for her exposed corset to be created.
Scarlett’s gown had a look of liquid metal that shimmered and added to the elegance of her ensemble. Oscar de la Renta shared several photos of Scarlett along with the following caption that you may read below.
“Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress nominee, Scarlett Johansson, dazzles the #Oscars red carpet in a custom pewter gown with fringe bodice and satin skirt. The intricately hand-draped corset and bias-cut skirt represent over 300 hours of craftsmanship.”
Celebrity stylist Molly Dickson dressed Scarlett for the event and she shared a fabulous video showing the intricate bodice of the gown as it was crafted as well as a glimpse at the team who not only finished the dress but brought it to Scarlett for her big night. In addition to her dress, Scarlett is also drawing social media praise for her Oscar hairstyle. Celebrity hairstylist Jenny Cho did Scarlett’s hair and shared photos of the look on her official Instagram account. Scarlett wore her hair with a middle part and face-framing tendrils that fell to her collarbone. The swept up look gave Scarlett a romantic look, but another photo that Jenny shared showed how beautiful the back of Scarlett’s hair truly was.
Scarlett’s hair was gathered into a low lying, French twist and adorned with silver hair jewelry that lightly coiled around the twist.

Frankie Boyd did Scarlett’s makeup that was flawless and featured copper tones on Scarlett’s eyes, and a light rose color for her lips.
