Timo Werner latest

Liverpool have been handed a boost in their bid to sign Timo Werner in the summer transfer window.

Jurgen Klopp is considering a swoop for the RB Leipzig forward as he plots to strengthen his ranks for next season.

According to The Sun, Werner’s preferred option in the summer transfer window is a move to Anfield.

A string of clubs have been linked with the Germany international including Manchester United, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

Pape Gueye to Arsenal

Arsenal are monitoring Le Havre midfielder Pape Gueye.

That’s according to Spanish publication Estadio Deportivo, who claim the Gunners are among four clubs looking to secure his services.

Sevilla, AC Milan and Udinese are also said to be interested in the 21-year-old, who has been described as a mix between N’Golo Kante and Paul Pogba.

Gueye, who captains French Ligue 2 side Le Havre, will be out of contract in June 2021 and Arsenal could sign him for a bargain fee.

Raheem Sterling to Real Madrid

Real Madrid are keeping tabs on Raheem Sterling ahead of a possible summer move for the England international, according to reports.

The 25 year-old Manchester City winger, who is currently out with a hamstring injury, is under contract until 2023 and Los Blancos are weighing up their options about trying to sign the player at the end of the season.

According to The Telegraph, Real are closely watching whether Sterling will sign a fresh long-term deal with City.

And if no new agreement is agreed between the two parties, Real could then test City’s resolve with a bid for the winger, who currently earns £300,000 per week, in the summer.

Samuel Chukwueze bid

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp failed with a bid for Samuel Chukwueze.

That’s according to France Football, who claim Villarreal rejected the offer from Liverpool in January.

It’s suggested the Premier League leaders offered £30million for the talented Nigeria winger, who has scored four goals and provided four assists this season.

The 20-year-old has also received interest from Chelsea and is reported to have a £55m release clause in his current contract, that expires in 2023.

Kalidou Koulibaly release clause

Manchester United may need to smash their club transfer record to sign Kalidou Koulibaly from Napoli this season as his release clause comes into effect.

United had tried to sign Koulibaly from Napoli last summer before moving their attention to Harry Maguire.

There have been some suggestions United could reignite their interest in Koulibaly this summer.

However, Italian outlets Corriere dello Sport and Corriere del Mezzogiorno claim United may need to break the bank to sign the Senegal international.

United’s transfer record remains the £89million they paid for Paul Pogba back in 2016 but they may have to pay close to £127million if they want to sign Koulibaly this summer.

It is reported the 28-year-old has a release clause which will become active in June set at that price, and would mean Ed Woodward would need to make him the most expensive defender in the world.
