Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 release date: New Switch news would be great for Nintendo fans

The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 might be getting a huge reveal during March 2020, if the latest Nintendo rumours prove correct. A new leak suggests that BOTW 2 will be getting a full trailer soon, although no firm date was confirmed. There’s been plenty of buzz surrounding what could be the biggest Nintendo Switch game release to date.

With the games company looking to expand in regions like China, Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 is going to have an even bigger fanbase to pull from.

Sales will be massive but for now, Nintendo has not been able to provide much in the way of new information.

The last major update came at E3 2019, along with a few cryptic interview quotes in the weeks after.

And with this latest rumour, fans are optimistic that they won’t have to wait until E3 2020 for the next big news drop.

It should be noted that this latest rumour has been posted online by an anonymous source and means that it has to be taken with a big pinch of salt.

The same rumour suggests that Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 will feature gameplay loops including both Zelda and Link.

as reported by Game Rant in a post online, Link with be playable in the open world and players will be able to switch to Zelda during certain Dungeon sequences.

However, these all come from different sources, and it seems likely that not all of them will pan out.

The March event is reportedly going to be a Nindies livestream, meaning it will focus on smaller titles.

So if a trailer for Zelda Breath of the Wild 2 is to be shown before E3 2020, it probably won’t be part of that upcoming event.

Anticipation is high for the next Nintendo Direct as the Switch release schedule for this year is looking slightly bare.

Ever since the Switch came out in 2017 each year, there have been plenty of exclusive games released for the hit hybrid console.

But this year only two exclusive games are confirmed as releasing on the Switch – Animal Crossing New Horizons and the Xenoblade Chronicles remake.

Fans have been left wondering if Ninty has a few games up its sleeve that are coming to the Switch in 2020 which they have not yet announced.

Whatever is or isn’t revealed in early 2020, the hype surrounding Breath of the Wild 2 is sure to endure among Nintendo Switch gamers.
