However, now it seems the fourth season of the dystopian drama will not be coming out any time soon.
Rumours of the delay were hinted at earlier in 2019 when editor Wendy Hallam-Martin spoke to the Mayday Podcast.
She revealed how the writers were working on the series, as well as working out how to include Margaret Atwood’s sequel to the original book.
She said: “Then we have Margaret Atwood’s new book coming along – The Testaments.
“That will dictate a lot of what happens in the next season and we’ll see where we go with The Testaments.”
