Willian and Pedro replacements

Chelsea have an audacious plan to replace wingers Willian and Pedro.

That’s according to the Daily Star, who claim Frank Lampard wants Timo Werner and Jadon Sancho at Stamford Bridge next season.

Werner, 23, has scored 25 goals in 28 appearances for the Bundesliga challengers this season and is expected to cost somewhere in the region of £60million.

Sancho, meanwhile, is another name on the wish list having bagged 15 goals in 27 games for Borussia Dortmund in 2019/20 campaign. His signature will cost a great deal more with Jan Aage Fjortoft claiming Dortmund want £126m for his signature.

Ed Woodward security

Manchester United have decided to increase security around Ed Woodward.

Videos shared on social media last week appeared to show hooded people outside Woodward’s property in a Cheshire village throwing flares over the gate, while graffiti was reportedly sprayed on a fence.

United condemned the attack and promised life bans and prosecution for those involved.

Now, ESPN claim United have discussed beefing up Woodward’s security – including on match days.

Ryan Fraser interest

Manchester United reportedly had a strong interest in signing Ryan Fraser from Bournemouth in January and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer even sent his own agent to enquire about a transfer.

Josh King emerged as a surprise target, but United were not willing to match Bournemouth’s asking price.

But the Daily Record report United had also made a late enquiry to sign Fraser from the Cherries.

It is suggested Solskjaer himself had interest in signing the Scotland international and he sent his agent, Jim Solbakken, to inquire about Fraser’s availability.

Bournemouth were holding out for around £15million for the 25-year-old but United clearly felt signing a striker was their number one priority.

Glenn Murray in the dark

Brighton striker Glenn Murray claims to be unaware of any interest from Manchester United.

The Red Devils were searching for a striker in the January transfer window with Murray, Islam Slimani, Josh King and Willian Jose all linked.

Eventually they opted for Odion Ighalo but Murray knows nothing of any approach.

Quizzed on the on the United rumours, he told talkSPORT: ““Not really to be honest. I’ve seen the story, but I haven’t heard much about it.

“I just let my agent deal with all that and I just try and concentrate on what I’ve got to do.”

Nemanja Matic snub

AC Milan rejected the opportunity to sign Nemanja Matic in January.

Magic is running down his contract at Old Trafford and will be available on a free transfer at the end of the campaign should Manchester United not trigger a one-year extension.

The Serbia international, 31, has seen relatively little action this season – making just seven Premier League starts under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Italian website Calciomercato claim United chiefs offered Matic to AC Milan, but manager Stefano Pioli snubbed the approach.

Jude Bellingham bid

Manchester United will revive their interest in Jude Bellingham in the summer transfer window after failing to capture the Birmingham youngster last month.

The 16-year-old has garnered interest from a host of Premier League clubs this season after breaking into Pep Clotet’s starting line-up aged just 16.

United tried to sign Bellingham in January and reportedly chanced their arm with a £25million bid but the Blues did not sell.

Now, Sky Sports claim United will continue their pursuit in the off-season with Bellingham remaining on Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s shopping list.

Paul Pogba revelation

Paul Pogba wants to leave Manchester United.

That’s according to the Manchester Evening News, who claim the French ace has told his colleagues of his desire to leave Old Trafford in the summer.

Pogba, 26, publicly stated his intentions to leave at the beginning of the summer but his £180million valuation proved too steep for Real Madrid and Juventus.

It’s claimed that dressing room sources have told the MEN that the majority of players think it would be best for him to leave.

With Pogba still pushing for a departure, Ed Woodward will be left with the difficult decision on whether to drop his £180m asking price to get him off the books.

Goalkeeper exodus

Manchester United face the possibility of losing two goalkeepers this summer.

According to The Sun, United chiefs expect Sergio Romero and Lee Grant to leave Old Trafford after the season.

It’s claimed the Argentine stopper is seeking talks with the club’s bosses to discuss his desire for regular first-team action.

Grant, meanwhile, has made just two first-team appearances since joining from Stoke in July 2018 and will be free to leave when his contract expires in June.

Emergency transfer

Barcelona will be allowed to complete an emergency transfer to replace the injured Ousmane Dembele.

But there are quite a few conditions that will limit their options.

With Luis Suarez and Dembele both sidelined for the remainder of the campaign, Barcelona have just three fit forwards in Lionel Messi, Antoine Griezmann and Ansu Fati.

Marca claim that La Liga rules will enable them to bring a striker but laws mean the addition should be no longer than five months and can only be signed from within Spain.

Barcelona have 20 days from the confirmation of the injury to lodge their intentions and 15 days from when they receive official approval from the medical committee.

Marca claim the three most likely options for Barcelona will be Cristhian Stuani, Willian Jose and Loren Moron.
