Homes Under The Hammer star Lucy Alexander’s mum dies as she opens up on tragic news

Lucy Alexander, 48 took to Twitter to reveal her mum had died following a battle with cancer. In the heartbreaking post, the former Homes Under the Hammer star admitted she was now “waiting for her signs” in a brief message.

The property expert wrote: “My mum sadly passed away last night. She battled cancer to the end. I’ve lost my mate – She was my everything. RIP Mum. I’m waiting for your signs.”

The BBC favourite shared the same message via her Instagram stories.

Celebrity pals and fans alike flocked to comment on the post, as many offered their heartfelt condolences.

Former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! contestant Emily Atack, wrote: “Lucy! Sending love x.”

She explained that she felt it was the right thing to do as she was caring for “someone I love” but did not confirm who the relative was.

Earlier this week, Lucy tweeted: “I’ve not been posting recently & I’ve decided to take a break from all social media as it just feels right whilst caring for someone I love,” followed by a heart emoji.

The TV presenter regularly keeps her fans updated on her day-to-day life and often shares pictures alongside her family and friends.

In April last year, the small-screen star took to Instagram and shared a sweet snap, kissing her mum on the cheek.
