Forget the Galaxy S20 – Samsung could reveal something way more exciting next week

Next week will finally see Samsung lift the lid on its all-new Galaxy S20 smartphone. This device, which is expected to be revealed at an Unpacked event in San Francisco, looks set to include a swathe of updates and new features such as a faster 120hz screen, better camera and bigger battery.

It will clearly be an exciting update for those wanting a new Galaxy device but if the latest rumours are true then something else from Samsung could steal the limelight.

There’s been plenty of speculation that the Korean technology firm is planning to launch its next generation of foldable phones during its keynote in the US.

This could mean we get to see an updated version of the bendable Galaxy Fold but there could also be something else to excite fans. A new video, posted on Twitter by top leakster Ben Gheskin, reveals a working model of the rumoured Galaxy Z Flip.

This phone is very similar to the new Motorola Razr with it flipping upwards to reveal a giant screen.

It’s unclear where the video originates from but it certainly looks genuine and matches many of the leaks about how this phone will look and work.

The concept around this device is that it can fit neatly in your bag or pocket when closed but offers a huge viewing area once flipped open.

A small display can also be seen on the front of the case which may be able to show owners simple alerts without having to open the device.

We’ll have to wait and see exactly what happens at Unpacked but it could be a very busy evening for Samsung.

Some leaks have suggested that a total of three Galaxy S20 devices will be revealed including the flagship S20 Ultra.

These devices could then be joined by this new Galaxy Z Flip and the updated Galaxy Fold 2.

The big event gets underway on February 11 and express.co.uk will be bringing you all the news live from this global event.
