Station 19: Is Ryan Tanner leaving Station 19? Is he really dead?

Station 19 may only be two episodes into its third season on ABC but there has already been a fire truck-load of drama for the characters. This culminated in a brutal cliffhanger in the latest outing which left fans wondering what the future holds for Ryan Tanner (played by Alberto Frezza).

Is Ryan Tanner leaving Station 19?

Station 19 first began airing in 2018 as a spin-off to hit medical drama Grey’s Anatomy.

Now the third season has only recently begun and fans have already been left on a enormous cliffhanger after episode two.

Entitled Indoor Fireworks, the outing followed Ryan’s return to Seattle from San Diego after his girlfriend Jenna (Sarah Oh) cheated on him.

Fans of the show watched as he attempted to rekindle his romance with Andy (Jaina Lee Ortiz) while the pair were soon distracted by some children crying.

The upcoming third episode of the series is called Eulogy and features a synopsis hinting how Ryan will not be returning.

This reads: “While Pruitt (Miguel Sandoval) grieves a monumental loss, Andy refuses to do the same and, instead, throws herself into work.

“Meanwhile, the crew responds to a widespread carbon monoxide leak, and Sullivan (Boris Kodjoe) makes a controversial choice for captain.”

The cliffhanger has understandably left viewers devastated, with many taking to Twitter to voice their concern.

One user wrote @AJRazim wrote: “No you did not bring Ryan back just to kill him! Not after he tells Andy it’s always her. WHY?”

User @hayleybug517 added: “Station 19 has my emotions everywhere right now. If we lose Ryan I’m done watching the show.”

“Next week’s episode is title ‘Eulogy.’ OMG Ryan better not die! Ryan and Andy needs to be endgame,” wrote a third named @T_Real_Talk.

All will be revealed about Ryan’s fate when the show returns on February 6.

Station 19 airs weekly on Thursdays on ABC.
