Sally Nugent calls out BBC Breakfast's Dan Walker over J Lo Super Bowl comment live on air

BBC Breakfast star Sally Nugent, 48, joined Dan Walker, 42, and Louise Minchin, 51, on the show this morning. The trio discussed last night’s Super Bowl 2020 ceremony, where fans were treated to a show-stopping performance by 50-year-old Jennifer Lopez and Shakira, 43.

Ahead of showing a clip of the pair in action, Sally turned to Dan and said: “Well this is just for you Dan, I don’t think you really liked this last time.

“I’m going to show you a bit more of the halftime show.”

Justifying his thoughts, he replied: “All I said was, she’s in her fifties [Jennifer Lopez]’.”

“No, I think I said, ‘If you’ve got it flaunt it,’ and you said, ‘If you’ve got it, cover it up’.”

Last night, Dan joked that he feared his boss will “decapitate” him for doing an all-nighter.

In view of his 615,000 followers, he wrote: “I’m tempted to pull an all-nighter and watch #SuperBowlLIV but my #BBCBreakfast boss will decapitate me [crying with laughter emojis].

“Alarm goes off at 03:11 so, while I prepare for an early(ish) night, at least let me know what your #SuperbowlSnackNews is. What are you rocking?”
