Most wireless play on the psp was doing via local Ad-hoc. They later added a feature to PS3 that was called Ad-hoc Party, which allowed psp’s to connect online via ad-hoc and play with people online.
The only time I ever used multiplay on psp was with ad hoc party and it was for Kingdom hearts:BBS. It was kinda… an awkward work around? I dunno. I don’t think anyone is gonna miss patapon multiplayer.
