Super Bowl 2020: What time is the Super Bowl in the UK? When is the half-time show?

Super Bowl 2020 is upon us as the Kansas City Chiefs face the San Francisco 49ers. The final two go head to head for the NFL Championship and meet tonight in Miami.

Super Bowl LIV sees Patrick Mahomes and Jimmy Garoppolo go head to head for a ring.

And Sky Sports expert Neil Reynolds thinks the later will come out on top.

“This is such a tough Super Bowl to predict, it really is a coin-flip game because of the greatness of Patrick Mahomes,” he said.

“But I’ve seen great quarterbacks taken down by defenses in the past, most notably Seattle to Peyton Manning in New York.

“I think the 49ers’ pass rush is going to have a day. They have got a strong running game as well so I’m thinking San Francisco win it, something like 34-17 – I actually think they are going to do a bit of a number.

“I hope I’m wrong, I hope Mahomes lights it up, but I really like the 49ers in this one.”

What time is the Super Bowl in the UK?

The Super Bowl gets underway at 11.30pm UK time – which is 6:30 p.m. ET.

When is the half-time show?

The half-time show takes place after the first half – which consists of two 15 minute quarters.

There is very little break between the first and second quarter, but because it’s Super Bowl the half time is far longer.

General matches the break is about 15 minutes, but Super Bowl half times can be around double that because of the show.

This year Jennifer Lopez and Shakira are performing at half-time.

How to watch in the UK?

The Super Bowl is shown on both BBC and Sky Sports in the UK.

Sky Sports begin their broadcast from 10pm while the BBC are on air from 11.2pm.
