GTA Online servers are down again today, following a weekend of service disruption. Connection problems have been hitting both GTA 5 Online and Red Dead Online since early Saturday, February 1. Rockstar Games’ latest update is that services are limited at the moment on all platforms. That means that GTA Online players may fail to connect successfully to online servers until the outage ends.
It’s unclear what is causing today’s GTA Online server issues, or how long they might last.
While yesterday’s outage mainly affected game servers, it looks like Social Club access, as well as the Rockstar Games launcher have gone down.
The Rockstar Support team on Twitter has confirmed that connectivity issues have been reported and are being looked at by the team.
“Please stay tuned to our GTA Online Status article while we work a fix for this,” the latest support message reads.
The new outage problems have sprung up the same weekend as GTA Online fans have the chance of earning One Million in in-game cash.
The next two weeks will allow GTA 5 Online fans to earn a total of two million if they log in on the correct dates, and that’s quite a bit of change for anyone saving up for a big purchase.
“To thank all GTA Online players for helping create another record-breaking holiday season, we’re kicking off the biggest GTA$ giveaway yet,” a message from Rockstar adds.
“Play this week between January 30th and February 5th to earn GTA$1,000,000, and then come back next week too between February 6th and February 13th to get another GTA$1,000,000.
“Bonus cash will be deposited in your Maze Bank account within 72 hours of playing. Play each week to earn a total of GTA$2,000,000.”
