Ragnarok Netflix location: Where is Ragnarok filmed? Where’s it set?

Ragnarok is set to launch on Netflix today, January 31. The action and adventure series is centred around Norse gods. The streaming service said: “In a Norwegian town poisoned by pollution and rattled by melting glaciers, the End Times feel all too real. It’ll take a legend to battle an old evil.”

“Some might say we’re headed for yet another Ragnarok. Unless someone intervenes in time.”

Adam Price, the creator, writer and executive producer, was joined by Norwegian co-executive producer and writer Simen Alsvik, executive producer Meta Louise Foldager Sørensen and producer Stine Meldgaard Madsen.

The crew spent most of their time in Odda, which is made up of waterfalls, fjords, blue glaciers, peaks and valleys.

A wesbite for the town describes it as being “one of those magic places that has it all”.

Most of the main cast members are also from Scandinavia.

The show stars Herman Tømmeraas, Ylva Bjørkaas Thedin, Theresa Frostad Eggesbø, Emma Bones, Jonas Strand Gravli and David Stakston.

The cast members play a group of teenage friends who are tasked with trying to prevent the end of the world.

Extreme climate change and adverse weather conditions signal the start of ‘Ragnarok’.

Ragnarok starts on Netlifx on January 31, 2020
