In her upcoming memoir, Jessica Simpson got candid about her past relationships and their endings, including with Nick Lachey! That being said, in a newly surfaced snippet of the tell-all, the singer admits to having hooked up with him after they separated.
Furthermore, she writes that the 98 Degrees star begged her not to leave him.
Simpson has been revealing all kinds of details about her personal life leading up to the full release of her memoir and fans are shook every time.
Radar Online has obtained a new excerpts of the book and people are really enjoying the tea she’s been spilling.
Jessica revealed that Nick refused to sign the divorce papers at first and insisted that they went to marriage counseling instead.
The outlet goes on to report that, as per Open Book, which is the title of the upcoming memoir, Nick begged her: ‘Please don’t leave me. I love you so much.’
However, she obviously did not give their marriage another chance and after the divorce took place, she witnessed him ‘him portray himself as a victim’ in a documentary about an album he was getting ready to release at the time.
‘He then mentioned that the door was still open for us to get back together. I kept pulling the blanket up over my face to hide because [because] I felt so exposed. It was so disrespectful and [he] dragged me back into his orbit when I was just starting to leave it [the relationship].’
The two got married in 2002 and were over three years later due to Nick supposedly having ‘ a wondering eye.’
She goes on to write that seeing him ‘breaking down in front of the world,’ in the documentary made her feel responsible even though she knows that’s not right now.

‘But back then, it felt like I needed to fix him. He rang the bell, and out of reflex I hugged him. I meant it, too. Despite my anger, I missed him. I didn’t know any other way to make it better, so I slept with him,’ she revealed.
