Games with Gold February free games warning: Xbox One owners must hurry to download games

Xbox One owners can download a fresh batch of Games with Gold releases this weekend.

The Games with Gold line-up refreshes on February 1, which means there’s only a few hours left to grab the January freebies.

If you’ve got an Xbox One and subscribe to Gold or Games Pass Ultimate, then you’ll need to download Styx: Shards of Darkness and LEGO Star Wars 2 for free before midnight tonight.

The games will be replaced by TT Isle of Man for Xbox One and Fable Heroes for Xbox 360 (and Xbox One with Backwards Compatibility).

Fable Heroes will be replaced by Star Wars Battlefront on February 16, while January free game Batman: The Telltale Series will be replaced by Call of Cthulhu.

With Metacritic scores of 68% for TT Isle of Man and 66% for Call of Cthulhu, it’s certainly not the strongest month for Games with Gold.

The Xbox 360 Games with Gold line-up fares slightly better overall. Star Wars Battlefront has an 80% score on Metacritic, although Fable Heroes only has a score of 55%.

Sadly, however, Battlefront no longer supports online play, which makes it far less appealing than it was back at launch.

You can find out more about the February 2020 free Xbox One and Xbox 360 Games with Gold releases below…

TT Isle of Man

Call of Cthulhu

“Plunge into a world of cosmic horror and creeping madness in Call of Cthulhu. In the official videogame inspired by the classic pen and paper RPG, investigate a family death on an isolated island where nothing is as it seems.

“Trust no one in a story filled with strange creatures, weird science and sinister cults, set within the iconic universe of H.P. Lovecraft.”

Fable Heroes

“Get in on the highly addictive, hack-and-slash adventure title, Fable Heroes. As the heroes of Albion, play up to four players, either competitively or in co-op mode, and collect as many gold coins as you can.

“Defeat familiar foes and new enemies alike in this fresh spin on the beloved franchise and take playful competition to the next level.”

Star Wars Battlefront

“Experience an all-time classic with Star Wars Battlefront. Participate in memorable battles from the first six Star Wars films as you fight on the front lines with every weapon and vehicle you see at your disposal.

“Either by yourself or with an army behind you, the choice is yours to topple the Empire or crush the Rebellion.”
