Real Housewives of New Jersey star Teresa Giudice and her former co-star Caroline Manzo secretly reunited in December to film a Super Bowl commercial for Sabra hummus, and no one had any idea it was happening – not even Caroline’s son Albie Manzo.
The former frenemies apparently avoided flipping tables when they joined forces for the ad, and Guidice’s attorney James J. Leonard told Page Six that his client enjoyed filming the commercial with Manzo.
“Teresa really enjoyed participating in this commercial and is excited for it to air,” said Leonard. “There is nothing more visible and iconic in the advertising world than a Super Bowl commercial. For it to involve Housewives shows just powerful and iconic that brand still is even after all of these years.”
He added that everything went “very smoothly” between Giudice and Manzo because they are both professionals. Leonard thinks people are going to love the hummus commercial when they see it on Sunday.
As RHONJ fans know, Giudice and Manzo were friends when the show premiered on Bravo in 2009. But, their relationship quickly fell apart, and they went from friends to enemies. Teresa even suggested that Manzo possibly tipped off the Feds about her and Joe Giudice’s finances that ended up with both Teresa and Joe in prison for bankruptcy fraud.
Teresa and Caroline haven’t appeared on RHONJ together since Season 5 in 2013. And, getting mic’d up together at the commercial shoot was the first time they had seen each other since then.
Caroline’s son Albie had no idea his mom and Teresa were reuniting for the commercial, and he said on his Dear Albie podcast that he booked a plane ticket to Los Angeles a few days before the shoot.

Albie explained that he arrived at the studio about 45 minutes after his mom, and Caroline and Teresa had already gone through hair and makeup. Albie said he hadn’t seen Teresa in years, and he couldn’t remember the last time he actually saw her in person.
Albie says that when Teresa walked in he wasted zero time and immediately hugged her. He added that everything was “totally fine” between his mom and Teresa. Albie says that he never had any problems with Teresa when they were filming RHONJ, and they used to text often. He also revealed that she is always trying to set him up with people.
“The issues that Teresa and Mom have, in my opinion, I do believe, are on Teresa’s end manufactured but I think are — I don’t think she necessarily even realizes it,” said Albie.
He then dished “the God’s honest truth.” Albie said that his read on the situation is that his mom and Teresa were having fun filming the commercial, explaining that they were in a room together, and they were actually having a good time.
