Carmelo Anthony And His Wife, La La Anthony, Speak About The Unbearable Pain Of Losing Kobe Bryant And His Daughter, Gianna

Both Carmelo Anthony and his wife and actress La La Anthony have taken to social media to remember their friend, Kobe Bryant, and his teen daughter, Gianna.

The tight-knit father and daughter were killed with seven other people in a helicopter crash on Sunday.

In his message, Carmelo revealed that he spoke to Kobe about his love and passion for coaching his daughter, Gianna’s basketball team just minutes before the accident.

The Portland Trail Blazers player explained: “YOU just called me and told me you were coming to the game Friday and that you were proud of me and ‘regardless of anything, stay true to myself and STAYME7O,’”

Carmelo said the death of his friend and child are “unbearable,” and added: “We were just laughing about how hard YOU was working GiGi and her teammates, and I told YOU they need a day off. Why you, bro? Why GiGi? Why leave Vanessa with this Sadness and Pain. WHY? This will never make sense to me.”

La La penned this sweet message saying: “It’s taken me all day to write this. A pain that I can not begin to understand. 💔My heart is breaking & my stomach is in knots for my friend @vanessabryant 🙏🏽GOD. I ask that you cover her in strength & comfort her and the girls in a way only you are capable of. Wrap your hands around them tight. I pray for all the families affected. V, I love you deep. My heart, my hands, whatever you may need from me are with you..now & forever…I LOVE YOU❤️.”

One person had this to say to Vanessa and her daughters: “Thinking and praying for you and your family constantly. My heart aches for your loss. The whole world is by your side. ❤️🙏🏼.”

This backer wrote: “Hopefully, Vanessa and the girls feel all the love and prayers we are all sending them and get strength from that. They have angels watching over them now. 💔🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽”

A third comment read: “You can tell Kobe did everything he can to make sure Gigi felt safe in her last moments. because he knew they were going to heaven as the helicopter was out of control, I only wish the safety authorities BANNED all aircraft that day it was so bad the fog was heavy and unable to see its visibility was not good I couldn’t understand why that pilot wasn’t grounded too. 😭😭😭”
