Man Utd fans rant about Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after Alexis Sanchez transfer admission

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s comments about Alexis Sanchez have not gone down well with fans. The Norwegian has confirmed the Chile international will return to the club at the end of the season, once his loan spell at Inter Milan draws to a close.

Manchester United boss Solskjaer opened up on Sanchez at his press conference earlier on Tuesday morning.

“Alexis will come back in the summer and will prove you all wrong,” he said.

And fans have taken issue with the 46-year-old’s comments, with the news appearing to compound what looks like a nightmare January transfer window.

“Linked to Ighalo, Slimani, Bruno deal comically in no mans land, and now Solskjaer is talking up a Sanchez return. 3 days left of the transfer window. Sure, sure, makes sense,” said one fan.

“Are we really going to have to accept this drivel Solskjaer keeps coming out with to protect the board? Sanchez coming back and “proving us all wrong”! He had his chance whilst earning ridiculous amounts of money,” said a second.

The club have been pursuing Sporting Lisbon star Bruno Fernandes for most of the transfer window.

And Solskjaer said: “I haven’t got any updates for you on transfers,” he said when quizzed on the matter.

“I think it was a waste [of a question], I gave you the option. I haven’t got anything to say now, my mind is on the game.”

Solskjaer then talked about United’s transfer policy.

And he admitted that the club had rarely had success when it comes to making signings during the middle of the season.

“We’ve got players here that we’re working hard to get back as well,” he added.

“And if there is something out there then the club is pursuing that and it’s difficult.

“I can’t remember how many good ones we’ve brought in and good deals in January.

“Henrik [Larsson] was good, Nemanja [Vidic] and Patrice [Evra], I’m talking about it’s hard, very hard, the clubs don’t want to lose their best players.”
