LeBron James Pays Heartbreaking Tribute To Kobe Bryant

LeBron James has lost a friend and perhaps his biggest inspiration and now, he is opening up about Kobe Bryant and his 13 year old daughter Gianna’s passing in a tragic helicopter crash. Many celebrities have been sharing their tributes to the basketball legend on social media but fans were waiting anxiously to read LeBron’s!

The man took a day to just mourn in silence before he finally took to social media to share a very heartbreaking message.

He admitted that he was still not ready to talk about what had happened but chose to do it anyway, touching millions of fans with his words.

‘I’m Not Ready but here I go. Man sitting here trying to write something for this post but every time I try I just begin crying again just thinking about you and niece Gigi and the friendship/bond/brotherhood that we had!’ he started.

LeBron took Kobe’s number 3 rank on the NBA all-time scoring list the day before the crash and he was also wearing sneakers marked with ‘Mamba 4 Life’ during the game he scored the points he needed to surpass his longtime friend and idol.

As fans know, Kobe was also known as ‘Black Mamba.’

LeBron went on to talk about how shocking and sudden Kobe’s death was, mentioning that ‘I literally heard your voice on Sunday morning before I left Philly to go back to LA. Did not think for one bit in a million years it would be the last conversation we would have. WTF!! I am heartbroken and so devastated my brother!! 😢💔. I love you big bro. My heart goes to Vanessa and the kids. I promise I’ll continue your legacy! You mean so much to us here especially #LakerNation💜💛 and it is my responsibility to just put this sh*t on my back and keep it going!!’

Indeed, LeBron has been the new face of the Lakers ever since he joined the team in 2016, which is also when Kobe retired.
