Coronation Street spoilers: Tim Metcalfe uncovers Yasmeen's abuse after Geoff's error?

Coronation Street resident Geoff Metcalfe (played by Ian Bartholomew) has spent months crushing the spirit of Yasmeen Metcalfe (Shelley King), wearing down her self-esteem and confidence. However, it seems his son Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) will discover his father has been abusing Yasmeen – but will Geoff stop, or even care?

Through a long and methodical series of aggressions behind closed doors, Geoff has mentally abused Yasmeen to a point where her self-esteem is paper-thin.

His cruel treatment has even included exposing Yasmeen as an apparent alcoholic, as well as making her shoulder the blame for how he has treated her.

This coercive abuse has led to Geoff gaslighting Yasmeen, a deception he will use again this week.

In upcoming weeks, Geoff with cement Yasmeen as an alcoholic even further suggesting she seek help, to drive her further apart from those who would come to her aid and rescue her from this poisonous relationship.

However, Geoff is quietly furious the trick failed and lets Yasmeen know the extent of his anger.

After the party Geoff arrives home to discover Tim Metcalfe (Joe Duttine) with Yasmeen.

To play down Tim’s concerns he swears that the box was open and not closed, but Tim isn’t convinced.

Might this be the moment when Geoff is finally exposed for the abusive creep he is?

Or will Tim continue to buy his stories? Right now, Tim has plenty on his own plate with his first wife Charlie Woods (Sian Reeves) making herself at home in Weatherfield.

Will he spend his time concentrating on how to be free of her, rather than how to free Yasmeen from Geoff?
