Olivier Giroud latest

Olivier Giroud looks set to stay at Stamford Bridge.

The French international look destined to leave Chelsea having fallen down the pecking order under Frank Lampard.

Inter Milan, Aston Villa, Newcastle and even Barcelona have been linked with the 33-year-old but nothing has materialised.

Now, Italian newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport claim favourites Inter are focused on signing Napoli’s Fernando Llorente instead.

Wanted: Ben Chilwell and Hakim Ziyech

Chelsea have two priority signings lined up for the summer transfer window.

ESPN claim the Blues have identified Leicester defender Ben Chilwell and Ajax midfielder Hakim Ziyech as targets.

Owner Roman Abramovich has given the go-ahead for Frank Lampard to rebuild his squad after the current campaign and ‘substantial funds’ will be provided.

Lampard is eager to replace Marcos Alonso and also wants to inject more creativity into his ranks.

Left-back Chilwell is reportedly valued at £80million while 26-year-old Ziyech would cost a more modest £31m.

No to Luka Jovic

Chelsea have no interest in Luka Jovic.

That’s according to The Telegraph, who claim Frank Lampard and co. aren’t planning on exploring a deal for the Real Madrid striker.

The Serbia forward, 22, secured a £50million move to Real Madrid from Frankfurt last summer, but has failed to deliver having netted one goal in 20 appearances.

The Blues remain interested in bolstering their attacking options in January, but there are no plans for Jovic.

Nathan Ake interest

Chelsea are considering a bid for Nathan Ake.

Ake, 24, left Stamford Bridge to join Bournemouth in 2017 in a deal worth £20million, but he could be set for a surprise return.

And that’s thanks to a clause in the deal when Ake was sold to the Cherries.

Chelsea have first refusal when it comes to Ake’s next move and are thinking of activating their buy-back clause of £40million, say The Telegraph.

Rodrigo to Barcelona

Barcelona are set to announce the signing of Valencia forward Rodrigo.

That’s according to Spanish newspaper Marca, who claim a deal is ‘all but done’ for the 28-year-old striker.

Valencia president Anil Murthy and agent Jorge Mendes are both in Barcelona today thrashing out the final details of the transfer.

The Spanish champions will initially sign Rodrigo on loan for the remainder of the season with an obligation to buy in June.

Marca claim the sticking point in the deal is Valencia’s £50.7million valuation that Barcelona would like reduced by £8.5m.

It’s thought Quique Setien’s side will offer youngsters Moussa Wague and Monchu to tempt their La Liga rivals into accepting a reduced fee.
