Ally Maki is an American actress from Kirkland, Washington.
In season three, she starred in one episode of The Big Bang Theory in season three.
She appeared in The Staircase Implementation which was episode 22 of season three.
Maki played the character Joyce Kim, one of Leonard’s (Johnny Galecki) former girlfriends and a North Korean Spy.

Joyce and Leonard dated for 27 days, but sadly for Leonard, she defected back to North Korea.
In this episode, Big Bang fans are taken on a flashback to see when Leonard first moved into Sheldon’s (Jim Parsons) apartment.
They met in 2003, while Leonard worked on rocket fuel under a DARPA contract.
There, he met Joyce, who was trying to extract information about his work by seducing him and later report it back to the North Korean regime.
Thankfully, Sheldon disrupted her plans to get information after he walked in on them having sex, claiming he violated the roommate agreement.
Ever since their evening was ruined by Sheldon, Joyce never returned.
Despite only starring in one episode, her character has been referred to numerous times throughout the series, including long before she actually appeared
She was mentioned in The Codpiece Topology and The White Asparagus Triangulation in season two, as one of Leonard’s ex-girlfriend.
Joyce was then referred to in The Apology Insufficiency in season four, episode seven when Sheldon accuses Leonard of being bad at keeping secrets.
In The Staircase Implementation, Leonard said Joyce was a North Korean Spy.
However, later in the series in The White Asparagus Triangulation, Leonard explained that she had defected to North Korea and was not actually a spy.

Who is Ally Maki?
Ally Maki is a 33-year-old actress from Kirkland, Washington.
She is best known for appearing in the television film iCarly: iGo to Japan and well as Jenny in the film Step Up 3D.
Maki also voiced the character of Giggle McDimples in Toy Story 4.
In 2011 she starred in the comedy-drama film The Family Tree as Shauna opposite Selma Blair and Britt Robertson.
Maki then landed the role of Min in Geogprahy Club in 2013.
