Liverpool fans all make the same joke about Shrewsbury after FA Cup draw against Chelsea

Liverpool fans have all urged Shrewsbury Town to beat Chelsea in the fifth round of the FA Cup, after the draw revealed the winner of their replay would head to Stamford Bridge. Jurgen Klopp has already revealed intentions to play the kids in the FA Cup replay against Shrewsbury, and Reds supporters are fully expecting to be knocked out by the League One side.

Liverpool or Shrewsbury were drawn against Chelsea in the FA Cup Fifth Round draw.

After the Reds drew 2-2 against Shrewsbury, Klopp explained that he intends to respect the Premier League’s winter break.

As the fourth round replay fixtures are due to take place in midweek before the winter break, Klopp said neither he, nor any of his first team, will take place in the rematch against the Shrews.

Liverpool fans have already admitted defeat in the tie, and have claimed that Shrewsbury will face Chelsea in the fifth round.

One Twitter user claimed: “Another day out for Shrewsbury it is then.”

“Shrewsbury can have it then,” added another supporter.

“Shrewsbury getting to play at Anfield and Stamford Bridge,” said one Liverpool fan.

Another Reds fan said: “Good luck to Shrewsbury for their tie against Chelsea.”

Speaking after the 2-2 draw against Shrewsbury, Klopp confirmed that reserve coach Neil Critchley will take charge of the replay at Anfield.

“I said to the boys already two weeks ago that we will have a winter break, which means we will not be there,” said Klopp.

“You cannot deal with us like nobody cares about it. I know that it’s not very popular but that’s the way I see it.

“The Premier League asked us to respect the winter break. That’s what we do.
