How Leeds could line up if they secure two of their January transfer targets

However, the Whites have been given a boost in their pursuit of agreeing a deal as Hull boss Grant McCann recently admitted the club could be forced to sell Bowen, if the youngster cannot be persuaded into signing a new contract.

Hull have the option of triggering an additional 12 months on Bowen’s current deal, which expires this summer, but the club’s negotiating power could be diminished if the winger declines the opportunity to sign a new long-term contract.

McCann wants Bowen to commit his long-term future to the Tigers but he also admitted he can understand the player’s position.

“I can see both sides of it,” said McCann.
