Many who have met the First Lady, the wife of US President Donald Trump, claim she has a “unique smell”. Writing in ‘Free Melania: The Unauthorised Biography’, Kate Bennett gave an insight into Melania’s signature scent. Ms Bennett said: “She has a distinct, noticeable fragrance, even to those who generally don’t notice such things.”
The journalist described Melania’s smell as so unique people instantly know it belongs to the First Lady.
Ms Bennett added: “When it hits the nose, reporters know to get out their notepads and photographers know to put their fingers on the shutter button.
“You’ve got about two seconds of smell warning before she enters the room.”
However the biggest mystery is that no one knows what perfume the First Lady uses.
However, Mr Alvow claimed Melania acted differently when she was around cameras.
He said: “I wish that part of who she is would be a little more out there and exposed.
“I think she’s holding back a little bit when she’s on the news.”
The First Lady is often criticised for her lack of emotion during public events.
Ms Bennett explained the reason behind this was down to her Slovenian culture.
She said: “One aspect of Melania Trump that people find most troubling is that she doesn’t smile.
“What most people don’t understand is Melania’s heritage and the country in which she was born.
“In Slovenia, smiling a non-genuine smile isn’t really a thing.”
The CNN reporter claimed Melania once told her she wasn’t “someone who smiles or pretends to smile just because there’s a camera”.
She added: “Maintaining a smile merely for effect was not a Melania thing to do.
“She was not a faker- not then, not during the campaign, and not as the First Lady.”
