Jessica Simpson Gushes Over Husband Eric Johnson In New Memoir And Writes He Helped Her Get Sober – Here’s How!

Jessica Simpson is getting more candid than ever in her upcoming memoir appropriately titled Open Book. That being said, her past relationships are one of the main topics in the tell-all and that comes, as expected, with some shade!

But as it turns out, she also has some great things to say about one of the men in her life – her husband!

The singer spoke very highly of her life partner, Eric Johnson, revealing that he is even a big part of why she’s managed to be sober for the past three years or so!

The book’s set to hit shelves on February 4 but the excerpts that are already public have been making headlines because of how honest and transparent they sound.

The singer is also opening up about her struggle with alcohol abuse for years.

She recalls how in October of 2017, she felt like she’d finally hit rock bottom.

The family was supposed to get ready for Halloween but after she had a drink really early in the morning, she completely zoned out.

It was so bad that she did not participate in getting their kids ready for the holiday alongside her husband.

Jessica writes that ‘I was terrified of letting them see me in that shape. I am ashamed to say I do not know who got them into their costumes that night.’

Furthermore, the excerpts obtained by PEOPLE also reveal that the man was a huge help when it comes to her journey to get and remain sober.

‘Eric gave up drinking the second that I did. He said, ‘I will do it with you, babe.’ It was no biggie and he has not gone back or looked back. It’s just the way he is. He is a very selfless and loving person who’s the most incredible father on the planet,’ she gushes over her partner in the memoir.
