Prince Harry And Meghan Markle Write Letter Threatening Lawsuit Against ‘Harassing’ Paparazzi

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently backed down from their roles in the United Kingdom’s royal family for the sake of financial independence, and a shot at a “peaceful life,” however, it looks like it’s not going quite the way they planned.

Reported by USA Today, the outlet claims that just a day after Prince Harry landed in Vancouver Island, British Columbia, lawyers acting on their behalf wrote a letter and sent it to British media publications, threatening legal action if they continue harassing them.

Meghan and Harry condemned the actions of paparazzi, demanding them to no longer take photographs without consent, especially after “trailing” or following them. Meghan and Harry, in their letter, accused the paparazzi of camping outside their home and trying to take invasive pictures from afar.

The letter claimed that the way the paparazzi conducts themselves will only facilitate danger to other peoples’ lives. As most know, Prince Harry has personal experience with the effects of intense paparazzi surveillance, for instance, the death of his mother in 1997 due to a car accident while trying to evade a paparazzo in Paris, France.

Earlier this month, pictures of Meghan with her two dogs and Archie were sold to outlets and also published on the front page of The Sun. Moreover, the images were aired on TODAY, as well. Furthermore, news publications published pictures of Harry landing in Canada following his UK departure.

Even though Meghan looked particularly happy in the picture, she didn’t agree to be photographed. The letter claims the paparazzi were hiding in the bushes. As it was previously reported, Prince Harry has addressed paparazzi behavior in the past.

Back in November 2016, the Prince released a statement in which he claimed a “line had been crossed.”Additionally, in October of last year, Meghan and Harry dropped a lawsuit against Mail on Sunday for using information inappropriately.

Around that time, Harry released his statement in which he excoriated the press for how they had been treating his wife and mother of his child. Later, Meghan and Harry took a six-week vacation from their role in the royal family. Upon their return back to the UK, the Prince and Meghan announced they were leaving their senior positions.
