Will Princess Beatrice copy strict rules for guests that Eugenie enforced at her wedding?

Princess Beatrice and her fiancé, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, are set to marry in Spring this year. Few details are known of the big day but they could take tips from Princess Eugenie, who married Jack Brooksbank in October 2018.

What was Eugenie’s wedding like?

Princess Beatrice’s wedding is likely to take place in Spring this year and she is sure to already be making wedding plan.

This follows a number of royal weddings in the last couple of years, including Meghan Markle’s, Lady Gabriella Windsor’s and Princess Eugenie’s.

Eugenie married Jack Brooksbank at Windsor Castle and was said to put some strict rules in place for guests.

The couple invited around 850 people including members of the Royal Family, celebrity friends and members of the public.

Before the ceremony, friends and family were reportedly given a list of what they should and should not do on the day.

No mobile phones

Those attending the ceremony were hit with a mobile phone ban and had to surrender all electronic devices when arriving at the event.

As part of this, guests were told not to post pictures from the big day on social media.

No gifts at wedding

Many members of the Royal Family won’t accept wedding gifts, but Eugenie and Jack reportedly did register.

DON’T MISS

However, guests who wanted to give them a gift had to send it the office of Eugenie father, Prince Andrew, rather than bring it to the ceremony.

This is gifting situation is thought to be stricter than Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, who asked for charity donations instead.

Dress code

While the dress code for a royal wedding is usually the same at each wedding, Eugenie’s guests had to be extra careful.

Like most royal weddings, women were required to wear day dresses and hats.

However, men had to wear more than just a standard suit as the invitations said a morning coat was required.

Princess Beatrice is not a working member of the Royal Family which means she does not need to follow as many rules as others.

The royal will have more freedom when planning her wedding and could opt to enforce her own rules like Eugenie.

Although few details are known about her wedding, she could choose the same venue as her sister.

Windsor Castle has a close family link to Beatrice as it is near where her grandmother, the Queen, lives.

Princess Eugenie filled her wedding with family members and a long list of celebrity guests.

Princess Beatrice has a number of celebrity friends of her own and is likely to invite them along to the big day.
