“It’s a wonderful feeling that the film has generated. We feel it, we feel things have changed and it’s given us a new life in a sense.”

While Taylor said: “The movie’s basically true. It was very difficult to make. But in the end, I think, with many consultations between us and the producers and actors, we were very happy with the way the movie came [about].

“But we didn’t know if the movie would be a success or not. And then we were so pleased and so happy when it was a success around the world as it was. It was very, very heartwarming and we’re just delighted.

“You don’t know, it’s a lottery when you make a film, especially a film about your career and you don’t know what’s going to happen.

“It’s just throwing it into the world and it came back fantastic, we’re very, very happy.”
