Tonight (January 20) Linda Carter (played by Kellie Bright) went back to the bottle, giving in to her addiction at Mick Carter’s (Danny Dyer) birthday party. But after bumping into Sharon Mitchell (Letitia Dean) in the club, Linda drunkenly told Sharon the truth about Christmas, leaving her with more questions and a possible new target.
Christmas is never a calm affair in soapland, but it was particularly bad on Albert Square this festive season.
The big day itself saw a year of lies unravel in the space of an hour as it was finally revealed Sharon has been having a sordid affair with Keanu Taylor (Danny Walters).
Phil Mitchell (Steve McFadden) had spent weeks trying to work out what Sharon was hiding, enlisting Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) to help.
But Sharon and Keanu both shared a similar story putting all the pieces together and leaving Phil red with rage and looking to kill.

Linda slurred: “I know. If you find the one then he’s the one, even if he’s the wrong one.”
Sharon replied: “Yeah let’s get you home -” but was interrupted by Linda, who said, “don’t worry about Keanu.”
“Phil’s walking around like it’s sorted, so it’s sorted. Linda, I think Phil’s put a hit on Keanu, I think he knows Keanu’s dead.”
Linda struggled to do it but eventually said: “It’s serious, I mean a massive secret, you can’t tell anyone. You promise? Cause me and Martin – promise?
“I was there. By accident … Christmas. Phil did put a hit on Keanu, but Martin couldn’t go through with it, he couldn’t go through with it so we faked his death, it was my idea. Then Martin let Keanu go.
