The pictures showed the 13-year-old towering over his father who, according to his physician, is six foot three inches tall. Barron accompanied Melania and Donald Trump, along with the First Lady’s parents, for a weekend at Mar-a-Lago. It isn’t known exactly how tall Barron is, but he appears to be at least a few inches taller than his father.
As Barron is rarely seen in public, social media users were quick to express shock at Barron’s extensive growth spurt since Trump’s 2017 inauguration.
After his appearance on Friday, many joked if he kept growing he could end up as a good prospect to be an NBA star.
One Twitter account said: “Barron Trump is going to be the greatest dunker the NBA has ever seen.”
A second added: “When did Barron Trump get this tall? We could have a star basketball player in the works here.”
Another said the Washington Wizards basketball team “may want to give Barron Trump a 10-day contract”.
Josh Kennedy commented on Twitter: “This dude needs to go the NBA.”
One twitter account claimed Barron “needs to be hooping”.
Evans Boney said: “I don’t think anybody has truly processed that Barron Trump could legitimately play in the NBA.”

He is around six foot, four inches tall.
His eldest son, Donald Trump Jr, is shorter than his brothers at just over six foot.
Barron is currently attending a private school in Potomac, Maryland.
